Enter a

landscape! Combined with Memory-Map's powerful 3D
imaging tools, VirtualLand helps you plan and review your
route anywhere in New Zealand. Visualise the path, it's
difficulties and highlights as you fly through a simulated
landscape.

At present, New Zealand is only partially covered
by Aerial Photography and much of what there is is only available in
black and white. To get around this we use textured maps to produce a
realistic 3D experience.
Custom designed to look as realistic as possible,
the textured map is drawn from topographic source data and enhanced
with techniques such as hypsometric colour ramping, and texturing
effects that simulate snow, rock, the different types of vegetation
and other terrain features.
Best results may be achieved
 when
Memory-Map VirtualLand is combined with the detailed maps and
charts from Memory-Map Topo or Memory-Map Marine, however with the
extensive
feature set of the included
Memory-Map Navigator software,
VirtualLand does also make an excellent stand-alone product.
